Ukrainian strikes target Samara defense plants amid intense eastern front battles

Ukrainian long-range strikes hit industrial targets in Russia's Samara region, damaging facilities at the Progress Rocket Space Centre and the Aviakor aviation plant. Satellite imagery confirmed impacts on sites involved in manufacturing Soyuz rockets and servicing strategic bombers. Russian regional authorities acknowledged a widespread attack, while additional drone activity was reported across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions, as well as near the Savasleyka military airfield.

Meanwhile, ground operations remained intense along the eastern front, with Ukraine's General Staff logging 254 combat engagements in 24 hours. Russian troops expanded their footprint south of Dobropillia in the Pokrovsk sector and threatened to sever Ukrainian defensive positions along the Oskil River in the Kupiansk direction. Ukrainian forces repelled repeated assaults along the Lyman and Kostyantynivka axes.
