Ukrainian strikes hit defense plants in Russia's Samara region as heavy ground combat continues across eastern Ukraine, with over 250 daily engagements reported.

Satellite imagery and regional reports confirmed Ukrainian missile and drone strikes on major industrial facilities in Russia's Samara region, targeting the Progress Rocket Space Centre and the adjacent Aviakor aircraft repair plant. Additional strikes were reported across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions, causing fires near key defense sites including the Savasleyka airfield.

Concurrently, intense frontline combat persisted across eastern Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, military forces recorded 254 engagements in a single day, with heavy Russian assault activity concentrated in the Lyman and Kostyantynivka sectors. Russian forces also expanded their positions south of Dobropillia and advanced toward splitting Ukrainian defensive bridgeheads along the Oskil River near Kupyansk.
