Ukrainian strikes target Russian industrial sites as ground combat intensifies

Satellite imagery and regional reports confirmed Ukrainian long-range strikes hit industrial facilities in Samara, Russia, targeting sites linked to the Progress Rocket Space Centre and the Aviakor aircraft plant. Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishev reported a large-scale missile attack on local industrial areas, while additional drone strikes were reported across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions, including near the Savasleyka military airfield.

Meanwhile, intense ground combat persisted along the eastern front, where Ukrainian officials reported 254 combat engagements in 24 hours. Russian troops expanded control south of Dobropillia in the Pokrovsk sector and sought to split Ukrainian positions along the Oskil River near Kupiansk. Heavy fighting also continued in the Lyman and Kostyantynivka sectors as Ukrainian forces countered multiple Russian assault attempts.
