Ukrainian strikes target Russian defence plants amid heavy eastern front fighting
Ukrainian strikes have targeted Russian aerospace facilities in Samara, while heavy ground fighting with over 250 engagements continued across eastern Ukraine.
Long-range Ukrainian missile and drone strikes have targeted Russian aerospace and defence infrastructure across several regions, including Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov. In Samara, satellite imagery and regional reports confirmed impacts at an industrial complex housing the Progress Rocket Space Centre—which manufactures Soyuz launch vehicles—and the Aviakor aviation plant. Strikes were also reported near the Savasleyka military airfield.
Meanwhile, ground fighting along the eastern front remained intense, with Ukrainian military officials reporting more than 250 engagements within 24 hours. Russian forces launched dozens of assaults along the Lyman and Kostiantynivka axes, expanded control south of Dobropillya in the Pokrovsk sector, and attempted to split Ukrainian positions along the Oskil River near Kupyansk.
