Ukrainian strikes hit Samara aerospace plants as eastern front clashes escalate

Long-range Ukrainian strikes have damaged industrial aerospace facilities in Russia's Samara region, according to satellite imagery and regional officials. Hits were confirmed at the Progress Rocket Space Centre, a major manufacturer of Soyuz launch vehicles, alongside the adjacent Aviakor aircraft repair plant. Parallel drone and missile incidents were also reported across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions.

Simultaneously, heavy ground fighting persisted along the front line in eastern Ukraine, with military reports recording more than 250 daily engagements. Russian forces maintained high-intensity assaults toward Lyman and Kostiantynivka while attempting to split Ukrainian positions along the Oskil River near Kupyansk. Further south in the Pokrovsk sector, Russian units secured additional territory south of Dobropillya.
