Ukrainian strikes hit Russian aerospace facilities as eastern front clashes escalate
Ukrainian strikes hit key Russian aerospace facilities in Samara while heavy fighting continued across the eastern frontline with over 250 daily engagements.
Satellite imagery and local reports confirmed that Ukrainian long-range strikes hit key Russian defence and aerospace facilities across multiple regions, including Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov. In Samara, strikes caused damage to an industrial site housing both the Aviakor aviation plant and the Progress Rocket Space Centre, a manufacturer of Soyuz carrier rockets. Additional attacks targeted areas near the Savasleyka military airfield.
Concurrently, intense ground combat persisted along the eastern frontline, with Ukraine's General Staff recording over 250 clashes within 24 hours. Russian forces mounted heavy assaults along the Lyman and Kostiantynivka axes, attempted to bisect Ukrainian bridgeheads across the Oskil River near Kupyansk, and expanded territorial control south of Dobropillya in the Pokrovsk sector.
