Ukrainian service members and commentators have highlighted operational, logistical, and mobilization challenges, urging systemic reforms within the armed forces.

Ukrainian service members and commentators have raised concerns over persistent administrative, logistical, and operational challenges facing the country's armed forces. Frontline surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel warned that indefinite deployments without rotations severely degrade morale, cautioning that military personnel feel treated as "serfs for civilians." On supply logistics, drone unit commander Yurii Butusov stated that lower-level commanders are forced to independently secure operational gear due to a complete lack of institutional accountability. Additionally, a report by Ukrainska Pravda highlighted disparities in military recognition, noting that commendations frequently favor command staff over frontline troops. Serviceman Pavlo Kazarin also urged reforms to medical boards and deferment mechanisms to restore perceived fairness in mobilization.
