Ukrainian servicemen and veterans are calling for urgent reforms to military logistics, medical evaluation boards, draft deferments, and the honors system.

Ukrainian servicemen and veterans are voicing growing frustration over administrative and structural challenges within the armed forces, urging systemic reforms to mobilization and internal military governance.

Frontline medical personnel, including surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel, warned that the absence of troop rotations has left long-serving soldiers exhausted while government policies appear to prioritize civilian interests. Regarding logistics, drone unit commander Yurii Butusov stated that unit leaders must independently secure essential supplies due to a lack of institutional accountability. Meanwhile, veteran focus groups highlighted disparities in the military honors system, pointing out that decorations are often concentrated among brigade command staff rather than frontline soldiers. To address draft inequities, serviceman Pavlo Kazarin proposed reforming military medical evaluation boards and revising deferment policies to distribute the service burden more fairly.
