Ukrainian long-range strikes hit Russian defense plants as front-line clashes escalate
Ukraine targeted Russian aerospace and defense plants in Samara as intense ground fighting continued across the eastern front line, with over 250 clashes reported in 24 hours.
Ukrainian long-range missile and drone attacks targeted major Russian industrial and defense facilities in Samara and surrounding regions. Satellite imagery and local reports confirmed strikes on the Progress Rocket Space Centre, which manufactures Soyuz launch vehicles, and the nearby Aviakor aircraft repair plant, alongside reported attacks near the Savasleyka airfield. Concurrently, Russian forces executed a missile strike against a prominent Ukrainian metallurgical facility.
On the ground, Ukraine’s General Staff reported 254 combat engagements within 24 hours. Heavy fighting concentrated along the Lyman and Kostyantynivka sectors, with over 30 assaults recorded in each area. Russian troops expanded control south of Dobropillia near Pokrovsk and continued pushing toward the Oskil River near Kupiansk.
