Ukrainian forces report up to 254 daily combat engagements while launching counter-operations near Kupiansk amid conflicting claims on other fronts.

Intense clashes continue across eastern and southern Ukraine, with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recording over 250 combat engagements in a single day. Ukrainian troops repelled dozens of Russian assaults in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kostiantynivka sectors.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defense forces conducted infantry clearing operations north of the city along the right bank of the Oskil River after disabling Russian drone capabilities. Reports also indicate localized Ukrainian progress near Lyman.

However, battlefield reports remain disputed. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to capture several settlements on the approaches to Sumy, while Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly denied Ukrainian successes along the Zaporizhzhia axis.
