Ukrainian forces report over 250 daily clashes as fighting intensifies across eastern front

Heavy fighting continues across eastern Ukraine, with Ukrainian commanders reporting more than 250 daily combat engagements along the frontline. According to official Ukrainian military updates, Russian forces launched repeated attempts to breach defensive positions in the Lyman and Kostiantynivka sectors, alongside dozens of repelled assaults near Pokrovsk.

Meanwhile, operational updates highlight localized tactical shifts. Ukrainian troops have reportedly advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupyansk and made gains near Lyman. In contrast, Moscow's defense ministry claimed control over several settlements near Sumy. Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov also publicly denied reports of Ukrainian progress in the Zaporizhzhia region. Additionally, strikes on ammunition storage facilities were reported in the Kyiv region.
