Ukrainian forces counter Russian assaults across active frontline sectors

Ukrainian troops face intense pressure along the eastern front, with the Ukrainian General Staff reporting over 220 combat engagements in 24 hours. Russian forces launched repeated attacks around Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kostiantynivka seeking to breach defensive positions.

Despite continuous assaults, Ukrainian units completed infantry clearing operations north of Kupiansk along the right bank of the Oskil River, leveraging electronic warfare to disrupt enemy drone activity. Meanwhile, conflicting claims continue to surface regarding other frontline areas. Russian defense officials asserted the capture of several villages near Sumy and denied Ukrainian gains in Zaporizhzhia. Conversely, military updates suggested Ukrainian forces may have reclaimed up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman. Strikes against ammunition depots were also reported in the Kyiv region.
