Ukraine strikes Samara defense plants as eastern front battles intensify

Ukrainian forces launched drone and missile attacks targeting Russian defense and industrial sites in Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions. Satellite imagery confirmed damage to the Progress Rocket Space Centre and the nearby Aviakor aviation repair plant in Samara. Regional Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishev reported a massive missile attack, while local reports indicated fires at defense facilities and potential targets near the Savasleyka airfield.

Concurrently, intense military engagements continued along the eastern front, with Ukraine's General Staff recording over 250 battles in 24 hours. Russian forces made advances toward bisecting Ukrainian defensive positions along the Oskil River near Kupyansk and expanded control south of Dobropillia. Heavy Russian offensive operations were also concentrated in the Lyman and Kostyantynivka sectors.
