Ukraine strikes Russian space center as eastern front battles intensify

Ukrainian forces executed targeted missile and drone strikes on Russian industrial and military infrastructure, damaging key manufacturing plants in the Samara region. Satellite imagery and local reports confirmed impacts on the Progress Rocket Space Centre, which manufactures Soyuz space launchers, and the adjacent Aviakor aircraft repair facility. Further air attacks were reported across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions.

Concurrently, ground combat along the eastern front reached heightened intensity. Ukraine’s General Staff registered over 250 engagements within a 24-hour period, citing fierce Russian offensives near Lyman and Kostyantynivka. Russian troops continued attempts to split Ukrainian positions along the Oskil River near Kupiansk while broadening their control south of Dobropillia. Additionally, Russian forces launched a missile attack targeting a major Ukrainian metallurgical facility.
