Ukraine restructures military command under new leadership as security services uncover Russian honey-trap plots and air defense challenges persist.

Ukraine’s military command is undergoing structural changes under newly appointed Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyj, who has moved to reform top-level leadership and resolve internal command inefficiencies.

The transition coincides with critical statements from former army chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi, currently Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, who claimed Ukraine will never join NATO due to the alliance's reliance on outdated warfare tactics.

Simultaneously, domestic security services face evolving tactics from Moscow. The Security Service of Ukraine reported that Russian intelligence agencies are utilizing online dating platforms to lure and attempt assassinations of Ukrainian soldiers. Meanwhile, air defense vulnerabilities remain exposed following a recent overnight ballistic missile attack on the Kyiv region where no incoming missiles were intercepted, prompting calls to target launch sites inside Russia.
