Ukraine's military undertakes structural command reforms under new chief Drapatyj as security threats and air defense challenges persist.

Following the appointment of Mykhailo Drapatyj as head of Ukraine's armed forces, military leadership has initiated structural reforms to dismantle internal command inefficiencies. Concurrently, former army commander Valerii Zaluzhnyi stated that Ukraine will never join NATO, claiming the alliance relies on outdated warfare strategies unsuited for modern conflicts.

Domestically, Ukraine faces ongoing security and defense pressures. The Security Service of Ukraine reported thwarting numerous assassination plots targeting soldiers lured via online dating platforms by Russian intelligence. Meanwhile, recent Russian ballistic missile strikes on the Kyiv region passed without interceptions, intensifying calls for Ukrainian forces to target missile launch sites inside Russian territory.
