Intense frontline combat continues across Ukraine as Russian forces launch heavy assaults and overnight drone strikes result in civilian casualties.

Frontline fighting across eastern and southern Ukraine remains intense, with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recording between 221 and 254 daily combat engagements. Russian troops launched numerous assaults, concentrating heavy pressure on the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kostiantynivka sectors. North of Kupiansk, Ukrainian infantry conducted clearing operations along the Oskil River after disabling Russian drone capabilities.

Conflicting operational claims persist between opposing forces. While the Russian Defense Ministry reported capturing several settlements near Sumy and General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov denied Ukrainian advances in Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian reports highlighted defensive successes and local gains around Lyman.

Simultaneously, Russian forces launched 138 drones in an overnight barrage across Ukraine. Local authorities confirmed civilian fatalities, including a mother and two children in Kyiv Oblast and a priest in Kherson Oblast.
