Ukraine hits Russian industrial facilities as frontline fighting escalates

Ukrainian forces launched long-range missile and drone attacks against prominent Russian defense facilities, including Samara's Progress Rocket Space Centre and the adjacent Aviakor aircraft maintenance plant. Satellite imagery and local reports confirmed damage at these industrial sites, alongside additional strikes reported across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions, as well as the Savasleyka airfield.

Concurrently, ground combat reached heightened intensity along eastern battlelines. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over 250 combat engagements occurred within 24 hours. Russian assault operations focused heavily on the Lyman and Kostiantynivka axes, alongside attempts to divide Ukrainian defenses near the Oskil River in the Kupiansk sector. Russian forces also expanded territory under their control south of Dobropillia as fighting persisted.
