Heavy fighting continues along the frontline in Ukraine, with over 220 operational engagements recorded in a single day. Ukrainian military officials reported fending off dozens of assaults, particularly around the Pokrovsk sector and along the South Slobozhan axis.
Simultaneously, tactical shifts were reported across several regions. Ukrainian forces advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with potential territorial gains also noted near Lyman. In contrast, Russian defense officials claimed the capture of several villages near Sumy and strikes on Kyiv region ammunition depots. Meanwhile, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov denied reports of Ukrainian progress in Zaporizhzhia.
