Ukrainian military reports over 220 daily combat engagements amid tactical shifts, including Ukrainian advances near Kupiansk and Russian claims around Sumy.

Heavy fighting continues along the frontline in Ukraine, with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recording more than 220 operational engagements in a single day. Ukrainian forces repelled dozens of Russian assaults, particularly in the Pokrovsk and South Slobozhan sectors.

Concurrently, tactical shifts were reported across several regions. Ukrainian forces advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, alongside reported potential gains near Lyman. In contrast, Russian defense officials claimed the capture of several villages near Sumy and strikes on Kyiv region ammunition depots. Meanwhile, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov denied reports of Ukrainian progress in Zaporizhzhia.
