Over 220 combat engagements were reported in Ukraine as Ukrainian troops made gains near Kupiansk while Russia claimed advances near Sumy.

Heavy fighting continues across multiple sectors in Ukraine, with the Ukrainian General Staff recording more than 220 combat engagements over a 24-hour period. Intense Russian assaults were concentrated in the Pokrovsk and South Slobozhan sectors, where Ukrainian defenders repelled dozens of tactical attempts to advance.

Meanwhile, positional shifts were reported along several fronts. Ukrainian forces made gains north of Kupiansk on the right bank of the Oskil River and prepared to confirm expanded control near Lyman. Conversely, Moscow claimed its forces seized several settlements on the approaches to Sumy and targeted ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region. In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov explicitly denied reports of Ukrainian progress.
