Ukraine and Russia exchange deadly aerial strikes while Zelensky cites future U.S. security guarantees and reports reveal Russian military benefits fraud.

Ukrainian drone strikes targeted several Russian regions and occupied territories, including Gelendzhik, Crimea, and Belgorod, leaving at least 11 dead and over a dozen injured. A separate strike on the outskirts of Moscow reportedly resulted in five casualties. The actions followed severe Russian aerial bombardments on Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia that killed at least 17 people and wounded dozens.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces would not voluntarily retreat from Donbas, citing solid post-war security assurances pledged by the United States. Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump cautioned against sharing sensitive defense technology with Kyiv. In Russia, investigative reports emerged detailing fraudulent marriage schemes aimed at claiming military casualty benefits.
