Trump states Russia and Ukraine agreed to halt energy sector strikes

US President Donald Trump announced that Russia and Ukraine agreed to halt energy infrastructure attacks, amidst ongoing shelling, drone strikes, and extended EU sanctions.
US President Donald Trump announced that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to refrain from striking each other's energy infrastructure, even as military operations persist on multiple fronts. Local officials reported two fatalities and 14 casualties from Russian shelling in Ukraine's Kherson region, while Ukrainian drone strikes in Russia's Belgorod region and Sochi injured seven people.
Concurrently, the European Union prolonged its sanctions against Moscow. EU diplomatic chief Kaja Kallas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot denounced a Russian attack on a train near the Ukrainian-Polish border, characterizing it as an effort to intimidate and divide Europeans. In Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a decree dismissing the nation's prosecutor general.
