U.S. President Donald Trump claimed Russia and Ukraine agreed to stop targeting energy facilities, while fighting and diplomatic actions continue across the region.

U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Ukraine and Russia agreed to refrain from targeting each other's energy infrastructure. The statement comes as fighting continues along the frontlines, with local Ukrainian authorities reporting two deaths and 14 injuries from Russian shelling in the Kherson region. Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone strikes reportedly injured seven individuals across Russia's Belgorod region and the city of Sochi.

Alongside the ongoing hostilities, European diplomacy remains active. The European Union extended its sanctions against Moscow, while EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot condemned a Russian attack on a train near the Ukrainian-Polish border, describing it as an effort to intimidate Europe. Additionally, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree officially removing the country's prosecutor general.
