Trump claims Russia and Ukraine agreed to pause energy strikes amid ongoing clashes

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed Russia and Ukraine agreed to halt energy strikes, as clashes and drone attacks continue alongside new EU sanctions.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine and Russia have agreed to suspend strikes against each other's energy infrastructure, despite ongoing combat. Local Ukrainian authorities reported that Russian shelling in the Kherson region killed two individuals and wounded 14 others. Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone strikes reportedly injured seven people in Sochi and Russia's Belgorod region.
In diplomatic developments, the European Union renewed its sanctions package against Moscow. EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot condemned a Russian attack on a train near the Polish border, describing it as an attempt to intimidate European nations. Furthermore, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a presidential decree officially dismissing the country's prosecutor general.
