U.S. President Donald Trump claimed Russia and Ukraine agreed to stop targeting energy infrastructure, while regional fighting and European sanctions continue.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that both Moscow and Kyiv have consented to suspend strikes against energy facilities. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued an official decree removing the nation's prosecutor general from office.

On the battlefield, casualties continue to rise. Ukrainian regional leaders stated that Russian bombardments in the Kherson area killed two people and wounded 14 others. In Russia, officials claimed seven individuals sustained injuries following Ukrainian drone operations in Sochi and the Belgorod border region.

Concurrently, European Union leadership extended existing sanctions against Russia. Commenting on a Russian strike targeting a train near Ukraine's border with Poland, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot asserted that the act aimed to sow fear and division among European states.
