US President Donald Trump stated that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to refrain from targeting energy infrastructure. The announcement comes amid continued military actions across several regions. Ukrainian officials reported two fatalities and 14 injuries following shelling in Kherson, while drone strikes in Russia's Sochi and Belgorod regions reportedly injured seven people.
Concurrently, European Union diplomacy chief Kaja Kallas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot condemned a Russian strike on a train near the Ukrainian-Polish border, characterizing it as an attempt to intimidate allies. In political developments, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the country's prosecutor general, while the European Union formally extended sanctions against Russia.
