US President Donald Trump announced that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to refrain from attacking each other's energy infrastructure, despite ongoing military clashes.
Meanwhile, hostilities continue on the ground. Ukrainian officials reported two deaths and 14 injuries from Russian artillery shelling in the Kherson region. Russian authorities stated seven individuals were injured by Ukrainian drone attacks in Belgorod and Sochi. Additionally, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a decree dismissing the nation's prosecutor general.
The European Union has extended its sanctions against Moscow. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot condemned a recent Russian strike on a train near the Polish border, stating it was designed to "intimidate and divide" European allies.
