Satellite imagery confirms Ukrainian strikes on Russian aerospace plants amid fierce eastern front clashes

Ukrainian strikes targeted strategic Russian aerospace and defence infrastructure across several regions, including Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov. In Samara, satellite imagery and regional authorities confirmed hits within an industrial complex housing the Progress Rocket Space Centre—which manufactures Soyuz launch vehicles—and the neighbouring Aviakor aircraft repair facility. Additional drone and missile attacks were reported near the Savasleyka military airfield.

Concurrently, heavy combat persisted across Ukraine's eastern front lines, with the Ukrainian General Staff recording more than 250 engagements in a single day. Russian forces pressed intensive assaults along the Lyman and Kostiantynivka axes, expanded territorial control south of Dobropillya in the Pokrovsk sector, and attempted to divide Ukrainian defensive positions along the Oskil River near Kupyansk.
