Russian strikes kill up to 17 in Kyiv region as North Korean missile unit deploys in Voronezh
Deadly Russian missile and drone attacks struck Kyiv and nearby areas as reports confirmed the deployment of North Korean missile units in Russia's Voronezh region.
Russian missile and drone attacks struck Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight, killing between 15 and 17 people and injuring dozens more. Emergency teams reported substantial damage to warehouse facilities, vehicles, and residential areas across the capital region as rescue efforts continued.
Simultaneously, Ukrainian military intelligence reported that a North Korean missile detachment has begun deploying in Russia's Voronezh region. The unit is reportedly equipped with six mobile launchers and dozens of ballistic missiles to support Russian strike operations against Ukraine.
On the front lines, Ukrainian forces engaged Russian troops fortified in Kupyansk and captured Russian soldiers near Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced upcoming command changes within the armed forces and defense ministry.
