Russian forces hit Kyiv with drones following Zelensky's UN speech, while Moscow targets Ukraine's energy grid and Kyiv strikes Russian oil refineries.

Russian forces launched fresh overnight drone attacks against Kyiv, injuring at least one resident. The strikes followed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the United Nations General Assembly, in which he sharply criticized Moscow's leadership.

Russian defense officials announced a renewed military campaign specifically targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure ahead of the winter months. In response, Ukrainian forces escalated long-range aerial strikes against Russian oil refineries and fuel depots, disrupting domestic petroleum supplies and forcing Moscow to source fuel from international markets.

Meanwhile, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen issued a stern warning regarding Russian hybrid activities, stating, "We do not tolerate attacks on EU soil." Her comments follow German authorities identifying two suspects connected to Moscow in relation to explosive drone incidents near Leipzig.
