Kyiv hit by Russian drones as EU warns against attacks on European soil

Russian drone strikes hit Kyiv after Zelensky's UN speech, while German officials probe Moscow-linked drone incidents in Leipzig.
Russian drone strikes targeted Kyiv overnight, injuring one resident, following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the United Nations General Assembly. Moscow's defence ministry confirmed an intensified campaign against Ukraine's energy infrastructure ahead of winter. Concurrently, Ukrainian aerial attacks on Russian oil facilities have continued to disrupt domestic fuel supplies in Russia, forcing Moscow to import fuel.
In Germany, authorities identified two suspects with ties to Moscow in connection with explosive drone incidents in Leipzig. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the hostile actions, stating, "We do not tolerate attacks on EU soil."
