Russian drone raids hit Kyiv as EU warns over Leipzig sabotage

Russian drones struck Kyiv following Volodymyr Zelensky's UN address, while EU leaders warned Moscow after German authorities identified suspects in Leipzig drone incidents.
Russian forces launched additional drone attacks on Kyiv, injuring a resident following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's UN General Assembly address, where he called Vladimir Putin "patient zero who wanted the war." The escalation aligns with Moscow's explicit strategy to dismantle Ukraine's power infrastructure before winter. Meanwhile, Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries have compelled Moscow to purchase fuel abroad.
Simultaneously, European security warnings intensified after German authorities named two suspects linked to Moscow over explosive drone occurrences in Leipzig. In response, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen asserted, "we do not tolerate attacks on EU soil, ready to respond."
