Russian forces targeted Kyiv with overnight drone strikes, while EU officials warned against hybrid threats following German investigations into Russian-linked sabotage.

Russian forces launched overnight drone strikes against Kyiv, injuring a resident following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the United Nations General Assembly. Russian defense officials confirmed an ongoing campaign aimed at disrupting Ukraine's power grid ahead of winter. In response, Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian fuel infrastructure have disrupted local supplies, forcing Moscow to import petroleum products.

Simultaneously, European authorities are assessing security risks after German investigators linked two suspects to explosive drone incidents in Leipzig on behalf of Moscow. Addressing the allegations, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that the European Union will not tolerate hostile actions on its soil.
