Russian attacks hit Kyiv region as Moscow deploys North Korean missile unit

Overnight Russian drone and missile strikes targeting Kyiv and the surrounding region killed up to 17 people and injured dozens of others, according to local officials and media reports. The attacks caused widespread fires and structural damage across the metropolitan area.

Concurrently, Ukrainian military intelligence reported that Russia has begun deploying a North Korean ballistic missile unit in its Voronezh region. The unit reportedly includes six mobile launchers and up to 120 missiles.

On the front lines, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded 233 combat engagements within 24 hours, with intense fighting remaining concentrated around Pokrovsk and clearing operations underway in Kupyansk. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced upcoming personnel adjustments within the Russian military and Defense Ministry.
