Russia attacks Kyiv region as North Korean missile unit reported in Voronezh
Russian strikes killed at least 15 in Kyiv, while Ukrainian intelligence reported North Korean missile deployments in Voronezh and intense fighting continued across the front line.
At least 15 to 17 people were killed and dozens injured after Russian forces launched an overnight drone and ballistic missile attack targeting Kyiv and surrounding areas, Ukrainian authorities reported. Firefighters and emergency service personnel worked through the morning to clear rubble and contain fires caused by the strikes.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian intelligence revealed that Russia has begun deploying a North Korean missile unit to the Voronezh region. The detachment reportedly includes six launchers and up to 120 ballistic missiles.
On the battlefield, Ukraine's General Staff recorded 233 combat engagements over the past day, highlighting intense clashes around Pokrovsk and Kupiansk. Concurrently, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced planned administrative and leadership reshuffles within the Russian military and defense ministry.
