Cross-border attacks between Russia and Ukraine continued overnight, even as discussions surrounding a potential halt on energy facility strikes gained attention.

Cross-border attacks between Russia and Ukraine continued overnight despite diplomatic efforts and proposed pauses. US President Donald Trump stated that both countries agreed to halt strikes on energy infrastructure. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy clarified that Kyiv would comply only if Western partners guarantee Moscow refrains from targeting energy, transport, and food supply networks.

Meanwhile, military engagements persisted across several regions. Russian drone and missile strikes hit Ukrainian targets, including Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, with casualty reports ranging from one to four fatalities. Ukrainian forces conducted drone operations targeting Russian sites in Belgorod, Sochi, and an oil refinery.
