Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally rejected a 15-point Gaza peace proposal endorsed by US President Donald Trump, insisting that military forces will remain in the enclave until Hamas is fully disarmed.
Speaking in televised remarks to his cabinet, Netanyahu stated that "Israel rejects the 15-point document" and emphasized that the military "will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed".
The announcement underscores a growing divide between Washington and Jerusalem over the framework, which Hamas accepted in late July. Although Israel has temporarily paused major strikes following American diplomatic pressure, Netanyahu faces competing political demands from far-right cabinet members and voters ahead of Israel's national election scheduled for October 27.
