Russian strikes killed 17 in Kyiv as Ukraine retaliated with drone attacks. Italian forces intercepted a shadow tanker, while Trump raised concerns over sharing Patriot missile technology.

Russian strikes killed at least 17 people in Kyiv and targeted port infrastructure in Odesa along with residential neighborhoods in Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged allies to provide more air defense systems, stating that interceptors "could have saved the life of those who were killed today."

In response, Ukrainian drone attacks hit Crimea, Gelendzhik, Belgorod, and suburbs near Moscow, resulting in multiple civilian casualties. Elsewhere, the Italian Navy intercepted a suspected Russian shadow fleet oil tanker near Pantelleria. Politically, former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed skepticism regarding the transfer of Patriot missile technology to Kyiv. Meanwhile, investigations revealed fraudulent marriages in Russia aimed at collecting casualty compensation.
