Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally rejected a 15-point Gaza peace proposal endorsed by US President Donald Trump, reiterating that Israeli forces will not withdraw from the enclave until Hamas is completely disarmed. In televised cabinet remarks on Sunday, Netanyahu stated that "Israel rejects the 15-point document" and affirmed the military "will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed".
The decision highlights a widening divide between Israel and Washington, despite a recent slowdown in Israeli military strikes under US pressure. Netanyahu remains under domestic political strain from far-right coalition partners ahead of Israel's general election scheduled for October 27, while Washington continues pushing for progress on the plan previously agreed to by Hamas.
