Heavy front-line fighting persists across Ukraine as drone strikes kill civilians

Heavy combat persisted across multiple front-line sectors in Ukraine, with daily engagements ranging between 221 and 254. According to Ukraine's General Staff, Russian assaults concentrated heavily on the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kostiantynivka axes, where Ukrainian troops repelled dozens of attacks. Meanwhile, Ukrainian infantry conducted clearing operations north of Kupiansk along the Oskil River following the suppression of Russian drone capabilities.

Territorial reporting remains contested between military commands. Ukrainian sources anticipate confirming control over up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman, whereas Moscow claimed control over several villages near Sumy. Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov also denied Ukrainian progress in Zaporizhzhia.

Simultaneously, Russian forces launched 138 drones overnight. The attacks caused civilian fatalities, killing a mother and her two children in Kyiv Oblast and a priest in Kherson Oblast.
