Heavy fighting continues across Ukrainian front lines as Russian drone strikes target civilian areas in Kyiv and Kherson regions.

Heavy clashes persist across Ukraine's eastern and southern front lines, with Ukrainian military officials reporting more than 250 engagements in a single day. Russian forces focused assault efforts on breaking defensive positions in the Lyman, Kostiantynivka, and Pokrovsk sectors. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops launched infantry sweeps and advanced north of Kupiansk along the Oskil River following targeted actions against Russian drone operations.

Territorial reports remain conflicting. Moscow claimed control over several settlements near Sumy, while Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly denied reports of Ukrainian progress in the Zaporizhzhia region. Away from the frontline, Russian forces deployed 138 drones overnight, striking civilian locations. Ukrainian officials reported multiple fatalities, including a mother and her two children in Kyiv Oblast and a priest in Kherson Oblast.
