Ukrainian forces report over 200 daily combat engagements alongside contested territorial claims and Russian drone strikes causing civilian deaths in Kyiv and Kherson.

Intensity on the front line remains high, with Ukraine's General Staff reporting over 220 to 250 daily combat engagements. Russian forces concentrated assaults on the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kostiantynivka axes, launching dozens of attacks to breach Ukrainian lines. Near Kupiansk, Ukrainian troops conducted infantry clearing operations along the Oskil River following efforts to neutralize Russian drone capabilities.

Territorial claims remain contested across multiple sectors. While Russian defense officials reported capturing several settlements approaching Sumy, Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov refuted reports of Ukrainian gains in Zaporizhzhia. Meanwhile, Ukrainian sources anticipate confirming control over up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

Concurrently, Russian forces launched 138 unmanned aerial vehicles overnight, resulting in civilian fatalities. Attacks killed a mother and two children in Kyiv Oblast and a priest at a monastery in Kherson Oblast.
