Ukrainian forces face intense pressure across eastern fronts as conflicting reports surface over territorial changes near Sumy, Kupiansk, Lyman, and Zaporizhzhia.

Fighting remains intense across multiple sectors in Ukraine, with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reporting between 221 and 254 combat engagements over a 24-hour period. Russian troops focused assault efforts near Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman in attempts to breach defensive positions.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian infantry conducted clearing operations along the right bank of the Oskil River following actions to suppress Russian drone capabilities. Ukrainian forces also reported advances near Lyman, where counter-operations aimed to reclaim territory.

Conflicting statements persist regarding control in other front-line sectors. The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its forces captured several settlements on the approaches to Sumy, whereas Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly rejected reports of Ukrainian advances in the Zaporizhzhia region.
