Heavy frontline clashes continue in eastern Ukraine while overnight Russian drone strikes cause civilian fatalities in Kyiv and Kherson regions.

Heavy fighting persists along the frontline in eastern and southern Ukraine, with Ukraine's General Staff reporting over 220 daily combat engagements. Russian forces mounted frequent assaults near Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kostiantynivka, while Ukrainian troops conducted infantry clearing operations north of Kupiansk on the right bank of the Oskil River following the suppression of Russian drone units.

Territorial claims remain disputed. Russia's Defense Ministry claimed progress toward Sumy, while Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly denied Ukrainian successes in Zaporizhzhia. Conversely, Ukrainian military sources reported preparing to confirm control over up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

Simultaneously, Russian forces launched 138 drones overnight, striking residential areas and killing a mother and two children in Kyiv Oblast and a priest in Kherson Oblast.
