Heavy combat continues across Ukrainian front lines as daily engagement numbers surge

Intense combat operations continue across multiple fronts in Ukraine, with Ukrainian military officials reporting between 221 and 254 engagements over recent 24-hour periods. Russian forces conducted heavy assault operations, concentrating main pressure along the Lyman, Kostiantynivka, and Pokrovsk sectors.

Tactical repositioning remains ongoing across northern and eastern directions. Ukrainian units made localized advances on the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupyansk, alongside potential gains near Lyman. However, conflicting operational claims persist elsewhere: Russian defense officials claimed control over several settlements near Sumy while denying reported Ukrainian successes in Zaporizhzhia.
