Heavy combat continues across eastern Ukraine as ground engagements spike

Heavy combat operations persist across eastern and southern Ukraine, with the Ukrainian General Staff reporting over 220 daily combat engagements. Major Russian assaults remained focused on the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman sectors. Ukrainian troops repelled dozens of offensive attempts near Pokrovsk while facing heavy pressure along the Lyman line.

Concurrently, Ukrainian forces executed clearing operations north of Kupyansk on the right bank of the Oskil River following electronic warfare interference with opposing drone capabilities. Territorial reports remain mixed across other sectors. Russian military officials asserted control over several settlements near Sumy and denied Ukrainian tactical gains in Zaporizhzhia.
