Updated reports indicate at least 17 killed in overnight Russian strikes on the Kyiv region, while front-line engagements continue across eastern Ukraine.

Casualty estimates following overnight Russian missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and surrounding districts have been updated, with local officials and President Volodymyr Zelensky reporting at least 17 deaths and over 40 injuries, while earlier reports indicated 15 dead and 51 wounded.

On the ground, Ukrainian defense forces engaged in 233 combat actions across the frontline during a 24-hour period. Heavy operations persisted near Pokrovsk and Kupiansk, where Ukrainian troops worked to clear Russian positions. Russian forces deployed thousands of kamikaze drones and hundreds of guided bombs.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian intelligence noted the deployment of a North Korean ballistic missile unit in Russia's Voronezh region, reportedly featuring up to six mobile launchers. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced upcoming leadership adjustments within the Russian military command and defense ministry.
