Debate over mobilization policy and military reform intensifies in Ukraine

Discussions surrounding conscription enforcement and military modernization continue across Ukraine amid sustained front-line pressure and escalating Russian aerial bombardments. Recent enforcement efforts have highlighted domestic tensions, including documented clashes between recruitment officers and draft evaders.

Policy responses remain contentious. Presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak proposed restricting everyday civil access and freezing bank accounts for individuals evading military service to deter non-compliance.
