Czech officials monitor Russian hybrid threats, launch task force Kobra 26, and navigate diplomatic visits to Ukraine as EU updates protection rules.

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš confirmed that security forces are monitoring potential Russian hybrid threats, aligning with recent warnings from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Diplomatically, Deputy Speaker Barbora Urbanová visited Kyiv to meet Ukrainian official Olena Kondratiuk following an earlier rejection by a parliamentary committee. Meanwhile, Chief of General Staff Miroslav Hlaváč is waiting for Defence Ministry clearance to participate in an upcoming summit of European military commanders in Ukraine.

Domestically, Czech police launched the "Kobra 26" task force to crack down on fraudulent employment agency networks that drain public revenues. Concurrently, updated European Union regulations prolong temporary protection status for displaced Ukrainians until March 2028, while making coverage contingent on fulfilling military service obligations to Ukraine.
